Your First Script

Learn how to write your first screenplay using Jujukraft’s intuitive interface.

A screenplay follows industry-standard formatting:

  • Scene Headings - Location and time (e.g., “INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY”)
  • Action - Description of what happens
  • Character Names - Who is speaking
  • Dialogue - What characters say
  • Parentheticals - How characters say it
  1. Open your project in Jujukraft
  2. Click the Script tab
  3. Begin typing your scene

The editor automatically detects screenplay elements as you type.

Every scene needs:

INT. LOCATION - TIME
Action description here. Show what's happening.
CHARACTER NAME
(direction)
Dialogue goes here.
ANOTHER CHARACTER
More dialogue here.

Jujukraft automatically formats:

  • Scene headings when you type “INT.” or “EXT.”
  • Character names in ALL CAPS
  • Dialogue indentation
  • Action descriptions

The editor recognizes:

  • Scenes - Location and time indicators
  • Characters - Names in dialogue
  • Transitions - Scene changes
  • Parentheticals - Character directions
  • Don’t use camera directions
  • Avoid excessive parentheticals
  • Keep action descriptions concise
  • Use present tense only
